I appreciate your message.

Sometimes we get so busy doing what we do that we forget that there is someone on the other side of the door who desires to spend time with us...

I do find it to be interesting how that when he is capable of opening the door he chooses to look through the crack instead.

It is almost as if he is anticipating that you will open it for him and invite him into your world, to let him know that you want to spend time with him.

There are times when we know that we can put ourselves right in front of someone, to get their attention; but we refrain from doing so because deep down inside we hope that they will see us without knowing that we are actually looking for them.

In other words, we have an innate desire for people to take notice of us without us having to grab their attention first. After all, that is usually a sure sign that they care enough about us to look for us without us having to do something to make them notice that we are there.

Of course, it could just simply be a game that your child enjoys playing.

Whatever the case is however, the message that I get from this is that we really need to spend more time with our children, as they won't always be children, but will grow to become adults...

If we don't spend time with them while they are young, they won't know who we are when they are older. Thus, we will lose touch with them.

Thanks for sharing this thought.
